Lake Burrendong State Park is quite a large park with many areas to camp unpowered. Eagle beagle area allows people to camp on the waters edge but still not to far to an amenities block. While areas within the main park allow you to be within walking distance to the kiosk, waterslides golf course, tennis courts and main boat ramps.

Situated on the western shore of Burrendong Dam, this park is an excellent base from which to explore the Wellington and Dubbo area. Just one hours drive, and right in between the rich Regional Centres of Dubbo and Orange, there is so much to enjoy.
For day trippers or those staying longer, our kiosk sells hot food and other goodies. This is ideal for an easy picnic or a break from camp cooking.
Lake Burrendong offers year around attractions for fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, bushwalkers, campers and picnickers. The Park is a playground for boating, sailing, swimming and water skiing during the spring and summer months.
Rod and reel enthusiasts will be thrilled with the fishing. redfin are the top catch, and catfish, murray cod and golden perch (yellow belly) also abound. Try your luck catching some yabbies off the banks, it’s so easy and great fun for the kids, they are just the thing to cook on the open fire. The Burrendong arboretum adjacent to the parkspecializes in creating eco systems with native plants; the fern gully is just beautiful. Subtropical vegetation, native animals and local bird life are all around.
